Stove notes
Stone and clay need gas or coil. Soapstone kal chatti and clay pots don’t heat on induction, and a glass top can crack under uneven heat. Zishta lists its kal chatti for gas and electric coil stoves.
Flat cast iron is the safe choice for induction. A flat cast iron tawa sits on the glass and the magnet test passes. Lift it; don’t slide it.
